Hey Bedford, let’s talk trash! We’ve seen an increase in trash and recycling questions, so we’re passing along a few reminders regarding these services:
- Make sure your trash and recycling materials are at your curb by 7 a.m. on your scheduled pick-up days.
- Republic Services’ collection hours are between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. This means, your trash pick-up is not considered “missed” for the day until after 7 p.m. If your trash hasn’t been picked up after by 7 p.m., feel free to send us a message and we’ll reach out to Republic.
- When not in use, make sure your containers are either located behind fences, walls, shrubbery, etc. and out of public view.
- If you ever forget which day your collection schedule is or need more info about trash/recycling services, go to www.bedfordtx.gov/trash.
If you typically have your garbage picked up around a certain time every week, but notice some days it’s being picked up later, that’s okay! There are a few reasons why your trash pick-ups occur at different times including larger than usual trash set-outs (especially during the holidays when the trucks need to dump at the landfill more frequently), routes running in a different order, employee shortages, or a new driver is learning a route.
